Chinese New Year Outfit Day 2 & MyJotterBook Giveaway Winners!

My outfit for the second day of Chinese New Year is a delicious concoction of pastel hues, somewhat in line with the recent paddle pop craze, except that this ensemble probably exudes more femininity and subtlety than trendiness.  

I generally prefer more enduring styles complemented with accent pieces that lend an element of surprise. This beautiful cropped top and skirt set from ClubCouture is the epitome of elegance and the perfect example of a classic look that never goes out of style. When it comes to accent pieces though, I have to say that the cat clutch from MyJotterBook and my blindingly glittery Louboutins totally took the cake in this series of photos.

 I looked a little pale in these photos because I caught the flu bug on the first day of Chinese New Year, presumably due to the lack of sleep, and it persisted throughout the entire week. I'm still on the road to recovery but I'm getting there, slowly but surely!
